Meetingmix.com is an online meeting scheduling and agenda software application. The service can be used to schedule meetings, invite attendees and manage minutes for the meeting in one central location. To create a meeting, the user enters the meeting title, date and time. The meeting can be set to recurring if desired, and the frequency is entered. The user then enters the topics and sub-topics for the meeting agenda, along with the name of the presenter of each topic or sub-topic. The meeting is saved, and the user can now invite attendees to the meeting by entering their email addresses. Once these are saved, the service will automatically send emails to the all of the attendees with the date, time and agenda of the meeting. The meeting can be edited at any time, and if any of the important details such as date, time or topics changes, new emails will be sent to all of the attendees with the updated information. When the meeting takes place, the user can select the meeting on the Meetingmix.com site, and a convenient editor for entering the minutes of the meeting is displayed. These minutes are archived by the site. The user can see a list of all of their meetings by clicking on the All Meetings link on their Meetingmix.com home page. The meeting page on the Meetingmix.com site allows attendees to add topics, share files, park an item for future discussion or add action items to the meeting.Show more screenshots »
Meetingmix.com was launched in March 2009 by co-founder Shawn Gupta and a partner. The site was funded by Y-Combinator.
Competition to Meetingmix.com comes from sites such as MyCommittee.com. MyCommittee.com offers a similar service to Meetingmix.com. While Meetingmix is the more basic of the two services, it is easier to use. MyCommittee offers a free plan with basic functionality, but their paid plan costs more than Meetingmix.
The site is very clean and uncluttered. Navigation is intuitive, as are the tools provided for scheduling meetings and managing agendas. The site is quite responsive, and page loads happen quickly. Any attendee can access the meeting minutes at a dedicated URL. There is no advertising displayed on the Meetingmix.com site.
Registration for a 14-day free trial is free but a credit card is required to use the site. The registration process simply asks for email address, password, name on creditcard, card number, expiration date and your address.
At the end of the 14-day free trial period, the user is billed automatically to continue using the site. Users can cancel at any time during the trial and they won't be billed. The cost for a membership is $9.95 per month.
The Meetingmix.com site could be useful for anyone who regularly runs meetings. The software is ideal for company department and project meetings, as well as managing committee meetings. The ability for attendees to add files and collaborate on the meeting's agenda makes the service a very versatile and productive one. The requirement to give credit card details before using the service is very annoying.
